battery question for snow plowing

The battery on my WM300 with Meyers snow plow is only 2 years old, but already it doesn't want to take a charge very well. I know the plow really sucks out the amps, but the ammeter shows a charge immediately after raising the plow but pretty quickly goes back to near zero. I put a charger on the battery but it ony takes about 2-3 amps instead of the 8-10 I usually get on a low battery. But it cranks the engine slowly and not very long, so I know it is not fully charged.

Jeep Wrangler with plow is behaving the way now, but the battery is 7 years old so maybe it is just coincidental. But since this is the first year for the Jeep, I did begin to wonder if using the plow was the problem there too.

Would it make sense to use a deep cycle battery?

By the way, it is still snowing here in Michigan...as I guess it is most everywhere. The real problem now is soft ground and wet heavy snow...not good conditions for plowing.
