Yep, open blasting and media retrieval is much different than cabinet blasting, however the outfit that blasted my frame does recycle their media. At the time I didn't think to look closer to see how they filtered it. Of course they are using a 1-1/2" hose with large nozzles so clogging is not a big factor.
