Very interesting. I always wondered about the relationship. I have 2 air compressors built by the same company. One has a 2hp electric motor and the other has a 5hp Honda gas engine. (for some reason I have always thought of electric "motors" and gas "engines")Anyway, the compressor heads are identical. Apparently the electric motor produces more torque per hp than the gas engine. Is this the case? Always?
