Shoot,here in Okla. all they have to do is post a sign on the back of the truck stating to stay back 200 or 300 feet and the trucking company is in the clear.Thats easier said than done when you follow a truck doing 55 on a 65 hwy.Just today in fact,I was following a dump truck that said stay back 200 feet.I was well beyond that and watched a rock bounce off his truck,down the road and it hit the grille in the POS Freightliner I drive.Man,that thing had some distance.A few years ago when I drove a dump truck for the county,they replaced a few windsheilds.We were then told if the tailboards arent cleaned before we leave the crusher,we would be looking for a new line of work.
