Another way to ID the engine on an older Mopar, assuming everything is original.... is by the emissions tag. It is a blue and white decal that Mopar puts on the bottom of the hood, near the latch. Easy to miss if you open the hood and dont look up. The decal will tell you the Engine size and year the vehicle conforms with. GM and Ford have emission decals also, but they look different. GM puts em near top of the radiator. I dont know where Ford puts em.
