It was only one trip to the glass man, and only 10 miles away. Where I live, it takes an hour just to get to the junkyard. Like I say, I hate to spend money and I do almost everything myself, but "almost" is the key word. On that window job I spent the better part of a day fabricating a new lower channel and welding the old brackets on it, when it would have been a lot easier to just order a window assembly from Memphis. Who knows, it might have even been just as cheap, but I needed it ASAP since I was heading for Great Falls in the middle of January and wanted a driver's side window. Call me a wuss, but the blizzard I went through on MacDonald pass made me glad to have a window between me and it.
