Isn't it just the rolledy-ness of the center 'pin' that stops the left side form moving forward? Perhaps squishing the rolled part with vise grips would make a better end stop? Or is it the end pivot at the radiator shell that needs to be pushed back? Hmmm, no, that would be both sides.
