There was an article in one of the 4x4 magazines last year dealing with heat buildup in on road driving. They specifically switched from the Michelins because the tires allegedly got hot enough for the structure of the tires to change, i.e, belts changing their location. They also admitted that they had run them faster than the recommended 60mph in 95 degree weather.
