finally got to work on the p-w over the weekend. thanks to all the suggestions. i've discovered that the fenders were flattened slightly towards the outsides. (if that makes sense) they matched up good along the hood etc but with less arch towards the outside, the front of the fender was slightly flatter than it should be, hence the light layed back. a little tweaking to the front outside of the fender and lights now shine fine. thanks again.
