Nice graphical representations of what happens inside differentials and traction aiding devices. They included the Torsen unit which I didn't even want to get started on. I consider it a different animal and I believe the applications that it will fit are still quite limited. I don’t think it ever caught on quite like they thought it would, or lived up to its potential. There were a lot of problems when it was first introduced.

It is too bad that the article did not go into detail on the Automatic Positive Locking differentials like the Detroit, etc. They talk about the Selectable Lockers and refer to them as simply "Locking Differentials" but left the automatics out. Oh well, still a good site.

Dan Shockley also shared some really good information on the last Forum. Hopefully he will add it here also. We are compiling some good information that will hopefully help future enthusiasts.
