Oil eater is citrus based, I don't know how much water is in it but my washer is powder coated and it's fine. The "shock/spring" that holds the lid is unpainted and the citrus has discolored it, but it's from the corrosive citric acids, not H20.
Anyone filtering their fluid to remove the oil and gunk? I've been thinking about using a filter on mine, any ideas?
