I agree with you 100%!!!!!

There is no fast and get it done method or tool for stripping paint off a body. It takes time and hard work. The DA is the best way to do it. You have better control of the tool verses a bigger grinder. You wont tear up the surface of the metal and you will get to know the surface of your body parts very well. I had good luck using 80 grit and then 36 for some stubborn areas.

After the hammer and dolly work apply the filler and then you will have to hand sand if you want it to look good. This takes time and hard work and a skill to determine if you have sanded enough to not have an edge or sanding scratches.
