Here's a link to what I use. They don't plug up, they wear slowly. On a 9 inch right-ngle grinder, you can strip the back of a cab in 20-40 minutes. Depending on how hard you can work without getting arm weary.

I'd stay away from hard discs, like 80 grit. These are about 120, leave a surface good for primer without chewing into the metal. They don't like sharp edges, make sure you go 'off' he edge in instead of 'into' it.

The big size cost about $15 at welding supply stores. Well worth it for the speed, with no changing paper, just eating old paint.
