there has never been any issue with the ride
that radial tires give.
the problem all used (and new) radial tires have is the age (refer to last forum or best of the forum)
6 to 10 years max before they should be removed from service.
most of the 9.00R16's in the US are probably close to or have passed the 6 year milestone.
the 9.00R16 XZL is now marked as 255/100R16 and has been for some years.

is there - the 9.00r16 is also made in a road
tread the "XY" (which can be seen on the pictures of the French Crew Cab - a few forums back)
the XZL is listed as an off road military non directional tire with no mention as to paved surface performance
always check the DOT Mfgr Date before investing in used RADIAL tires as they might have passed their safe life as spelled out by
the manufacture
