How does dad install my carseat in '48 PW? Carston

I really want to go for a ride in our '48 PW with mom and dad but they can not figure out how to safely put my carseat in it and still be able to shift. My carseat is a snugride with a base and by law I have stay rear facing in it. Please give us some ideas. I really really want to go for a ride (and not just up the driveway on mom's lap).
