This all happened during the first year of production of the Cummins in a Dodge truck. The truck were actually ordered with Allison automatics that the salesman said the were going to put in them. HAH! Factory 727's lasted about a year on the 2 spray rigs.

As I recall the owner talked with the rep and no mention of weight was made. It was told it was a custom applicator/farm operation and the rep basically said they didn't cover that. I ask what he meant and he said he basically hung up on him. We were not looking for replacement on the 2 spray rigs but the tranportation truck was a different story. I was amazed they weren't interested in seeing them and came to the conclusion they must allready new about it.

Actually they weren't overloaded a lot. As I recall, those were rated around 3100lb each. We couldn't run duals because we had to fit between rows of crops as well standing plants. No till wasn't as popular then.

I still would like to know why all other tires didn't blow out. I don't count the one as I blame myself for that one because of wear. Again, what is your guess as to why?? Kevin
