Thanks again to all who contributed info. toward my project of mounting the winch on my W300. Marty supplied the factory frame extensions. Unable to find any factory winch support brackets, I decided to make my own. I used 3" x 3" angle for the rear and 4" x 4" for the front. A friend of mine welded the cracks in the clutch housing and fabricated a new handle for the clutch shifting fork. He used a solid aluminum shaft, turning it on his lathe with some grooves around the handle, 1/4" apart, to provide a better grip. I still need to locate an original cable/knob for the PTO shift control. If anyone has one, please let me know what you want for it. I also would like to know what the clearance is on your winch/PTO drive line between the front axle housing. I'm concerned about the clearance that I will have. Wondering if I will have to add some spring leaves.
Thanks. JH
