Of course they'd rather use US dollars. They remember a few years ago when their government cut the value of the peso in half by decree. Instantly, any cash they had on hand was worth half of what it was the day before. At least our government's smart enough to devalue our money slower than other countries, and they do it via gradual inflation rather than sudden decree.
