Having lived in northern california over 42 years I have never had trouble with wild animals. I am a cautious person though.never trust a wild animial.I would rather get into trouble for shooting a coyote or bobcat then get into trouble for having one eat one of my kids. Bears are pretty big critters with sharp claws they also eat more then berries and fish. Steve
