A friend of mine was a tire man at a local farmers co-op. A contractor brought a backhoe tire in one day to get repaired. He figured it was filled with chloride, as it was REALLY heavy. They broke it down, and it was filled with a white powder. Turned out to be powdered lead. Not a good deal, lead is not something you want to be breathing in. So, if you break it down, be careful.
