I hate to differ with you, but no 4wd military truck had the crank out winshield.
I know this from my original manuals and the fact that i have a WC1 and a VC3 (may 1940) and they both have the jeep style set up.
The manuals do show the regulator, but if you read the application it is only for the WC36 and WC48.
