I've ownesw several 40's Chrysler strt eights. They are a great engine, they run sooo smooth you can turn the idle down so low you can watch the fan turn. Are they good as a hign RPM engine, my advice would to stay with the six, and apply the usual old rod tricks, balance compression, breathing.
