an advantage to swapping in the 70s would be gear ratios available. are the hubs on the 70s similar to the ffpws? it would be nice to be able to throw 70s under the truck with a better gear ratio, discs and stock rims. i think someone did modify the stock ffpw hubs to go onto dana 60s or 70s. i dont remember much about it except it was done by someone named joe.
