I like the ford 300 too as far as they way they run, but they are like most Ford engines and drink fuel at an astonishing rate. I drove a 1/2 ton Ford for a year with the 300 in it and if I happened to get 10 mpg it was an amazing day. Usually got around 6 to 9 mpg :/(
