At one time I knew of different parties looking into it.
# 1 party directly last year and they said after doing a tooling cost assesment it just wasn't viable. The cost was $200,000+ and they figured no way to recoup the cost.
#2 I have heard nothing.
#3 said they had a roll former made and had a "run" made that was fine. They could not however, get the metal to bend without kinking when tring to form the 2 bends it needs to bring the 2 halves together. I've tried to contact them but nothing in several years.
Bottom line, if it gets done in metal, it will be someone doing it on the side. I don't think you can hire this out as labor costs on tooling will break anyone. Maybe Ray in China will look into it??? Kevin
