Use the proper gaskets but where the heads meet the block, on the corners use a bead of silicone or Permate Form-a-Gasket #2. I like the form-a-gasket as it never gets hard and is easy to clean off later if you have to tear it down again. This sealant is very important at the front and rear of the block on the corners as that is where you run the risk most of an oil leak.
