Need some help from some of you guys on installing the freeze plugs on my flathead. The last try didn't work so well. Are there any tricks? I was first told to use gasket compund but now I have heard that I should have used high temp. silicone. Now that the engine is installed I plan to pull it out so I can get a good center blow on the new freeze plugs. I also want to check on the one located behind the timing cover and the one on the back side of the engine. So far I havn't done any damage to the engine. I figure it is better to be safe than sorry on this one.

When I am done reinstalling these freeze plugs, I want to be absolutly sure they are in correctly.

Thanks

John Moschinger
