I AM NOT an expert BUT my understanding of the gear ratio is: jack it up mark the drive shaft and move the tire in one direction and count how many revolutions make one turn on the drive shaft OR the other way. It is not rocket scientist stuff. If it revoves more than 5 you have a 5.31 and less you have a 4.89.
