as the engine uses fuel the level in the carburator fuel bowl drops and the float goes
down allowing the needle valve to move off (away) from the needle valve seat & fuel to
enter & refill the bowl to the correct level
remove the top of the carb & check the float
movement
what carburator do you have ?
clint dixon's page have pictures of all models
do you have a shop manual for any of your
trucks ? carb repair proceedures are in any
/all of them
