That's what I have now & to be honest...I can't tell the difference towing with the bars or without...other than with the bars I get high centered coming out of my driveway!
That alluminum hitch is rated to tow 2000lbs more than my 40lb reese hitch not counting the bars!
I'd have a hard time trusting it towing 14,000lbs but you gotta figure they must be pretty sure....there'd be some hefty lawsuits if it broke towing 13,500!
I'll tow the W500 to IA from Canada with one & I'll tell you how it does.
