All things happen for a reason. Like you I got caught up in a RIF, and celebrated it by flying to Vegas with the wife. Bought a big screen TV and satellite system. Cut a lot of firewood, grew a beard, drew unemployment for the first time in my life and basically relaxed. In hindsite it was the best thing that could have happened to me. Three months later the company called me back to work! So I guess the moral of the story is just go with the flow and enjoy life. You might have to pull your horns in a bit, but don't mull over it. Things always have a way of working themselves out. Good luck to you!
