Michelin XZL - runflat question

I took my XZL's to a local truck tire shop this weekend to have them de-mounted from the LAV rims. I picked them up today but the tire guys couldnt figure out how to get the run-flat "tire" out of the tire. I didnt expect it to be so big, it is almost the size of the inside of the XZL. The only thing I can think of is a sawsall but that does not thrill me too much. It reminds me of childbirth. That baby came out of there?
