I was lucky enough (or stupid) to get a 1949 Dodge bench seat on e-bay for the mere sum of $25. I need to shorten it, has anyone done this and what was your approach?
It even has the Airride option. The back clips to the back of the cab so I bought the hinges and lower "arms" from Eric on e-bay. Once I got the covering off the seat bottom, I had that overwhelmed feeling like looking at plate of speghetti and trying to find the end of a noodle. Not only are there the coil springs, there are spring rods, stabilizer things attaching a few springs here and there and curly cue wires with no end or begining. HELP!
