Hi Mark:

I drove something like that when I plowed snow off the runways at O'Hare. The damn thing had a 725 cu in Detroit diesel for the auger, and a 5 somethin for the truck. It was an Osh Kosh. We'd go down the runways at 35 to 45 MPH, in a staggered formation with up to 50 trucks, only doin one half the runway on a run. Each vehicle only took at MOST, a 2" bite outa the snow, as ya didn't want to leave any snow on the runway.

The lead vehicle would be in the middle of the runway, and we angled back to the edge. That's what I did, was edging with the blower. It was automatic termination if ya hit a runway light. It was a real gas doin that too. However, we had 3 radio's goin and HAD to listen to all of them just incase a plane decided it wanted to land kinda quick. HA!

If the team leader said "HARD RIGHT NOW!" ya didn't argue, and just did it. Since I was in the military before, I taped arrows up on my windshield, one left and one right, so I didn't get confused. HA! Those things are awesome machines, and the ones we had could shoot snow streams over 200' outa the chute. BTW, neat pictures.

Later
Ugg
