I dont have an ingition switch or an ammeter, so can I just bypass it and run the appropriet wires elsewhere? I have a handheld ammeter to check around with. Right now the generator has three wires going to the VR. The VR has one wire going to the starter and one wire going to a toggle switch in the cab (for the coil). The starter has one large wire going to the positive battery terminal. Thats all there is. All the wires are new, and I'm going out now to check my battery. Its been sitting all night with the terminals disconnected. Is there such thing as watching the VR work? Like watch for the points opening at certain times? Anyway, I will check it out and repost this afternoon.
