Well, sort of. The same thickness comes in several 'diameters'. So, you may have a 1/4" thick key with a 7/8 diameter (# 807) in a slot for a 3/4 (#406) key. So, if the key is the right thickness, grind down the radius and the flat til it fits, and assemble it.
