Water in carb?

Gas don't freeze, must be water in your carb? Try some alcohol type de-icer? From the looks of the groadiness of the carb, it hasn't been cleaned out lately.

Or next time, try squirting some Berrymans intot he vent tube insid ethe carb. It's that tube inside the carb throat that looks like a pipe cut at an angle, Taht would put some 'de-icer' directly into the float bowl gas.

There certainly is heat to the intake, that's why it is bolted to the exhaust. There is just no adjustment on yours. But it takes a while to warm up all that cast iron. And, I've seen similar icing on Volkswaen engines in dune buggies in the California desert, in the summer. All that gas evaporates, soaking up heat. Works like the evaporative 'swamp cooler' on the roof of your double wide. ;)

But, if you've now learned it takes one re-start to get it warmed up to run, do you have a problem that you can't live with?
