Carb icing

I finally was able to capture the carb icing on camera today. It was about 42 outside and has been raining for 2 days. Truck fired right up and idled up to running temperature. Started spitting and sputtering and died. Let it sit for a minute and the frost was gone and the truck fired back up and all was well. It will also run but not idle in this situation. Like maybe the idle circuit is froze up inside.

After reading and asking questions it appears the big trucks with 25 inch motors did not have any kind of carb heating riser or device.

My next thought/question is if the carb could be tuned to run a little rich or lean to maybe avoid this problem?!
