doc dave, it is my experience(8 1/2 yrs as an automotive machinist) that coolant in the oil wreak havock on friction surfaces. the coolant breaks down the hydrodynamic wedge between surfaces causing spun brgs. or seizure.if you decide to tear it down be sure to check all the friction surfaces very carefully for excess wear.good luck wich ever way you go, jim.
