Am still in the planning stages of a 1950 PWFF restoration. (doubletalk for "haven't got around to it yet"). Would like to know what engines bolt up to the PW tranny. The original 230 six is lying in the back of the truck and looks closer to being a boat anchor than a rebuilder.
Will the modern 318 v-8 or the slant six bolt in? Would like something that will stay alive on the highway and still have some torque for offroad.
Appreciate any comments and suggestions from the guys that know.
