Plenty of I-6's in salvage yards, I paid $850 for the last one, the swap took about 6 hours, figure two or three days for your first one. Photograph everything, document and write things down, get a good manual and it should be a piece of cake, just make sure that the donor motor matches the transmission type/flywheel etc. because that year Jeep has the crank positioning sensor on the flywheel/bell, it will mess up the computer if it is not a correct match.
130,000 miles is way too early for that motor to fail, it must of had a defect in the casting? I have/had several with over 300,000 miles on them, only one failed to make it 100,000 miles and that was my little brother's ride (that explains it right there! ha!ha!) My '84 is still going strong.
