Since this was once a Civil Defense Warning device, that was tested on the last Friday of every month at 10AM (at least on the West Coast) I'd think that discussion with the local authorities would be in order first, you wouldn't want negative effects. Other than that it is a great idea! You could normally hear these in a 10 mile radius in SoCal. Farther away in less populated areas.
