they have made all bidders hidden from other bidders, not from the sellers. as a seller I like it as I have had severel cars that other bidders emailed another bidder to keep the bids lower. after the auction the winning bidder is disclosed. ebay did this also to cut down on the spoof second chance offers. I like the new system. but have gone mostly to buy it now/best offer auctions as it allows instant sales and negotiation, as well as from a buyers view no shrill bidding
