After one of the hurricanes here slammed us, one of the things I will never forget is the line of Power company trucks leaving the area after the power had been restored. I was in the next town (Havelock, home of MCAS Cherry Point)As the convoy of power trucks made there way down main street, all traffic was stopped. Every one was standing out side there cars cheering and yelling there thanks to the crews. I am sorry to say I have now forgotten what state the crews were from, but we let them know we were very thinkful for there help.
