I went with the Jake Brake approved and sold by Dodge for the warantee. Thus I had no choice with the vacuum pump system which is part of the kit. The PAc Brake uses air pressure, which I would have perfered. With the air pressure system, you 'could' mount an additional pressure tank and have some onboard air.

If funding allows, I plan to use a Pac Brake on my D'zl M37. The onboard air system will hold up a pressure tank to drive it and the air lockers and other needs. I also plan to build a Throttle Position Sensor with a delay circuit so the Exhaust Brake will operate as they do on the Rams. Let off on the throttle and 2 seconds later the exhaust brake comes on. Step on the throttle and the exhaust brake goes off. Since out old iron dont have ECM's, this is the easiest solution, in my opinion.

I dont have any information on the new Rams/Exhaust Brakes.

Keep in mind if you ever loose the Jake Vacuum pump, Dodge Dealers will RIP you off for over $600 for a replacement. Read on the TDR, the exact same pump can be bought from Cummins of under $100. The Cummins part numbers are listed on the TDR.
