I dont get it Paul, why go to all the trouble to make something that is so non-functional like a express bed. I think you would be way better off all around with a flat deck. Besides, the bumblebee already has a express bed, as does your M-37.
Well, it's personal preference, but in my power wagon world, a original pickup bed is almost useless. By the time you put 3/4 cord of wood in there (for example), you've done $2000 worth of damage. You can build a hell of a nice flatbed with tool boxes to hold all your gear for 1/2" the cost of a repro bed, and it is'nt even "original" whatever that means to you. Heck, put a dump mechanism on there and now you have a truck that's ready to do some work.
I'm not blasting your idea at all, I'm just giving you food for thought. Hopefully it's not a crap sandwich
