Little known fact that speed bumps were developed through a joint venture project back in the 1940's. Seems engineers from a shock company and the Alignment Society Services Within industrial Practioners Etc (better known as ASSWIPE) came up with them after years of test trials.
In the same study the inadvertantly developed a mutated animal that eats holes into pavement commonly known as potholes. they tried to contain the problem but they breeding cycle was just too prolific and they couldn't do it.
