I've been on the job (fireman) in Seattle on Sunday and again yesterday. I just cant believe how helpless people are when they get a little snow. I mean it's like the whole westside is a bunch of turtles on thier backs! Serious case of wussitis going on.
No school since Monday over there and the roads are CLEAR! I have 15" at my house in the Mtns, and I havent seen pavement because of the compacted snow for at a week. Kids never missed even a minute of school. I drove over the pass to get home and did'nt see one stinking snowplow. not a big deal for me because there was only a few inches of loose granular over compacted, but I was dodging abandoned cars left and right, and dont even get me started on the truckers... I think SWIFT Transport stands for

BTW, I did have to laugh at the Frat boys from TKE house who wrecked themselves up pretty bad sledding down an arterial on a papa-san chair and crashing into abandoned cars at the bottom of the hill.
