you might try putting a "wanted" ad at the old wood-working machines site...nothing there at the moment though.

I looked for an old drill press for a long time, couldn't find one and bought a 16" Jet a few years ago. Cost about $600, came with some extra vises, etc. It works ok for everything I've used it for. About a week after I bought mine, a local guy decided to sell his huge old 3phase "camel-back" drill press for less than I'd paid for the wimpy new one. The only advantage of the newer machine is that it knocks down in a few minutes and that makes it easier to move. The big, old, cool one would have needed to be moved on rollers or with a forklift. I bet it weighed more than 1,000 lbs.
