Been collecting old pressed steel toy trucks for over 40 years and Wyandotte toys never appealed to me because they were of fictional design. Marx also made some early tin litho trucks that were similiar to the Wyandotte but a little more detailed with LMC (Louie Marx Company) over the radiator. Were they really looking at an early GMC cabover when they designed the toy? Buddy "L" trucks and construction toys from the 1920's are at the heart of my collection. Clearly, Fred Lundahl had an International in mind when he built the first toy truck for his son "Buddy". It wasn't until the 40's when Charles Doepke began produceing his "Model" line of pressed steel construction equipment toys that the toy began to look like the real thing with detail.
